I created and ran a non profit website that featured mother artists and craftswomen. I made web pages for the artist and promoted the site as a resource for mothers and a market place for all. MotherMade was featured on many blogs and websites. One of MotherMades biggest achievements (aside from supporting mothers) was that we got featured in the cover story of the Willamette Week News Paper in October 2008. Along with that article, a big fat picture of my cute little mug playing dress up as Rosie the Riveter.
I ran MotherMade for almost 3 years. But in April of 2009 I had to make a sad decision... Or rather it was made for me, you can read all about what happened on my blog. I had to let MotherMade go, in order to focus my energies on my art career. And as sad as it was, it really was the right thing for me. Imagine that!? I am able to remove spoons from pots before they completely boil over?!? Even if it is someone else who turns off the stove.
(a few of the images above still link to a handful of the Moms formally represented by MotherMade)
